The Return
I started writing this blog about a year ago but I’ve been without it for more than a month because … it just sort of disappeared, and I’ve missed writing it–a lot, much more than I anticipated. Anyway, the person who’d been hosting my blog basically flaked, and I’ll leave it at that. As my friend Hix likes to say whenever anything goes wrong, I learned a lot: One, don’t be cavalier about who hosts your blog. Two, back-up, back-up, back-up. As it happens, I backed up my blog a single time in the almost-a-year I blogged, back at the end of September, which explains the gap in time between this post and those below. Eventually I hope to get those back and tidily tucked away. It’s been a great excuse to change the blog’s design and actually create categories for posts this time.
In the meantime, lookit a pretty picture …

That is a pretty picture. Yes, hosting is a bitch. Speaking of which, where’s your wife’s blog? Wow, that sounds terrible, but you know what I mean: When is g-bitch.com coming back online? Also I’m curious who was hosting for you but I guess the less said the better.
G Bitch is almost back–her new blog @ gbitch.com (no dash) will be back up today, tomorrow, the next day … any minute, any hour, any day. She’ll probably let everyone know via Humid City. Our previous host wasn’t local (we shared), not the usual suspects but someone G Bitch met online way back.
Actually, I’m at gbitchspot.com for now. None of my old posts–I have a backup but there’s a high chance of corruption/spam/fuckups so I’m waiting to let my new people—I love the sound of that–help me/handle it/solve it. Once I get multiple #%$^@*!s straightened out, the g-bitch domain will be back and linked to the new-ish Spot. Thanks for asking!
